Coretek are now official Brand-Rex partner’s after completing the Brand Rex System Design Engineers courses for Copper and Fibre Optic Infrastructure!
To become a Brand-Rex partner you’re required to undergo Technical Training every two years to remain a fully certified Brand Rex Authorised Installer.
Two members of our Infrastructure team, Darren Jervis and Phil James have successfully completed Brand-Rex courses recently.
The first course that was completed was the ‘System Design Engineer’ course. This involved intensive training on everything that a designer and installer needs to know in order to provide a Brand-Rex Structured Cabling System to the latest ISO and CENELEC standards. Once completed, this worked towards the Brand-Rex approved Partner scheme.
The second course was the ‘Optical Fibre Technician’ course. This involved a multitude of physical activities. Included in these are; the termination of fibres with connectors, practical elements of jointing optical fibres using direct termination methods, organising complex optical patch panels and the testing of the optical links with optical light meters and optical time-domain reflectometers (OTDR’s). This course was a mandatory requirement if you’re wanting to include fibre installations in the Brand-Rex Approved Partner scheme.
The benefit of this is that we can now offer a 25 year warranty on our Brand-Rex installations.
